Lindsay creates original work for dance companies, universities, independent artists, and multidisciplinary performance projects. Her process combines movement research, collaborative experimentation, and a strong interest in character, narrative, and theatrical world-building.

Inspired by the “new woman” of the 20s and 30s, during this time period of Bauhaus, I sought to create a piece that showcased and celebrated the athleticism of the female body and woman’s continuous perseverance.

Conceived in my childhood bedroom during the COVID-19 pandemic, the work is an intimate ritual of solitude, a confrontation of the uncertain, and the pains of starting a new chapter.

Jorgensen’s choreographic debut and senior thesis, We Are Phoenix, explores the raw terrain of healing where grief, angst, and anger coexist. The piece grants permission for bodies to fully inhabit rage, pain, and even vengeance, revealing these emotions as vital steps on the path to becoming whole.
