Join me for an immersive weekend exploring contemporary dance and improvisation as tools to build a shared movement vocabulary. This workshop is part of the early research phase for an eventual evening-length choreographic work.
Open to pre-professional and emerging dancers, the lab will focus on process, experimentation, and co-creation—and culminates in an informal studio showing.

Jorgensen currently performs with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Buglisi Dance Theatre, Ballet Nepantla, and MorDance. She has previously performed with American Repertory Ballet, Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater and VALLETO. She has performed at Lincoln Center, the David H. Koch Theatre, Madison Square Garden, Battery Park Dance Festival, and works by Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Robert Battle, Patrick Delcroix, Blakeley White-Maguire, and Michael Trusnovec.
Theatre credits include SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (Ensemble, Dance Captain/APAC), GREASE (Cha Cha/APAC), THE PROM (Swing, Asst. Choreo/APAC), and EVITA (Assoc. Choreo/APAC).
Her poetry was featured at APAP and Women/Create, and her choreography was showcased at Bell Works and Ailey Citigroup Theatre.
Jorgensen is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham B.F.A. Dance Program, where she graduated summa cum laude with a departmental honors in Dance. She holds a dual degree in Dance and English, and a graduate certificate in Creative Writing from University of Pennsylvania.
Jorgensen is also the rehearsal director for Pony Box Dance Theatre and teaches for Steps Youth Program, Montclair State University, and the American Repertory Ballet Trainee Program. She teaches ballet, pointe, contemporary, floorwork technique, and improvisation/composition techniques throughout the Tri-state area. She strives to foster creativity and growth within every dancer she engages with.
